Tahsin Robâs name has become synonymous with creativity and innovation in the gastronomy space of Bangladesh.
She began her entrepreneurship journey in food at the age of 20, launching a unique concept in Bangladeshâs capital city, Dhaka, naming it Heartworld. With just $5 investment, owing to her trademark out-of-the-box thinking, Tahsin quickly managed to take this brand to great heights. Catapulted by her success, the same year, she opened two new outlets and gained immense popularity for her unique menu concepts and creativity in food. Each time she opened a new branch, Tahsin drove her innovative skills further to launch new products which is very rare in the F&B sector of the country.

Tahsin's Role
At Onnow, Tahsin is the co-founder and Chief Culinary Officer (CCO), and leads the research and development, creation of menu items and establishes a short-term, mid-term and long-term product plan and strategy for the overall growth of the company.
Fast forward to 2017, she became the Managing Partner of Rice & Noodle, and launched an Asian-focused concept in the bustling streets of Dhanmondi. With every success, she got inspired to keep the innovation game going. Two years later, she founded a Sushi brand, âMaki the Sumo Boyâ and received praise from the Japanese food lovers in the city. At the end of 2020, when the whole world was still reeling from the effects of the pandemic, Tahsin did not back down and kept going. She launched her brainchild âFatty Bunâ as an online burger store selling gourmet burgers over the internet. This time, food bloggers raved about how the choice of sauces were different from those of the conventional brands.
The driving force behind Tahsinâs grit is experimentation with flavours and brainstorming unique ideas. She loves coming up with new recipes that are different from her competitorsâ. She picked up her unique skill of having the nuances of understanding consumer taste and market demand early in her entrepreneurial journey back in 2012. She uses this skill throughout her ventures which has resulted in her success.
